Time of rapture

Rapture happens after tribulation (scriptures with comments)

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (KJV)--
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

COMMENT -- The Lord will descend from heaven with the voice of an angel and trumpet sound from God.  First, the dead will be raised to life and then those alive will be transformed and ascend up to meet Christ in the clouds in the air clouds and will be with the Lord forever. [This resurrection of the dead and transformation of the living is called the 'rapture' --- but this word is not found in the Bible.

John 6:39-40
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which sees the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:54 Whoso eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 11:21-24
21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou had been here, my brother had not died.
22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
23 Jesus said unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
24 Martha said unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

COMMENT--
These five verses in John 6 and 11 all show that ALL believers will be raised up (resurrected) on the last day (singular), not before.

John 5:28-29
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Daniel 12:2
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

COMMENT-- John 5:28-29 says that all that are in the grave (both believers and non-believers) will be resurrected at the same time (at the same hour [vs 28]) and they will be judged -- either to everlasting life or damnation. Daniel 12:2 also says that all that are dead will awake (from being dead) to be judged to either the resurrection of life or to damnation.  Because all that are in the grave (both believers and non-believers) will be resurrected on the same day -- that day must be the last day according to John 6 and 11.  This is the final Day of Judgment (John 5:29 and Daniel 12:2).

SUMMARY--The Bible says the physical resurrection (the rapture as some call it) will occur on the last day of time and history on earth (as we know it). That is on the final Day of Judgment—when the dead believers and dead non-believers are resurrected. The scriptures say that all believers will be resurrected (physically) on the last day, not before. Also there is a spiritual resurrection of believers (i.e., going from spiritual death to spiritual life): Col 2:13-14,  Col 3:1, Eph 2:1-6 , Ro 8:11, Ro 11:15, Luk 15:24, Rev 20:6.]. The first resurrection is spiritual—Eph 2:4-6.  (“But God, who is rich in mercy…even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, …And hath raised us up together… in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”)
